About Aline - The Designer's Journey

From Central Africa to Paris: A Story of Heritage and Craft

Aline's story begins with movement—adopted from Central Africa by a Breton-Central African couple, she arrived in Paris at age 10, carrying with her a deep appreciation for handcraft and cultural diversity. This early experience of cultural bridging would later become central to her design philosophy.

Growing up in Paris, the world's fashion capital, Aline was drawn not to the mainstream fashion houses but to the stories embedded in traditional craftsmanship. She continued practicing the handcraft techniques she had learned, particularly sewing, eventually becoming a professional in the heart of fashion's most demanding city.

“Each collection represents a chapter in my ongoing exploration of sustainable luxury. From the raw rebellion of my debut to the domestic poetry of home textiles, to the maximalist celebration of cast-offs, my work chronicles not just fashion evolution, but a deeper relationship with materials, memory, and meaning.”

The Political Awakening

Aline's deep care for handwork and fashion history naturally led her to question contemporary fashion's environmental and social impact. Her interest in current political problems—from climate change to cultural homogenization—sparked her specialization in upcycling as both an environmental and political act.

Aline’s collections are not only a piece of art but it is also a conversation starter.

Every garment carries multiple stories:

  • The original story of the material

  • The cultural techniques used in transformation

  • The political statement embedded in the design

  • Your personal story as you wear and live in the piece

The Collection Evolution:

"Rébellion" (2022-2023): Her debut collection emerged from pure creative rebellion—transforming leather scraps, latex, and forgotten materials into pieces that challenged both fashion norms and consumption patterns.

"Fenêtres" (2023-2024): The unisex deux-pièces collection made from home textiles like curtains and tablecloths explored the boundaries between domestic and public spaces, questioning who gets to occupy which spaces in society.

"Tie Reborn" (2024-2025): Her current collection continues this exploration of textile stories, deconstructing symbols of masculine power and reimagining them as genderless expressions of beauty and strength.
